Mission Statement

St. Rafka Maronite Church is committed to promoting a safe environment for the children and young people in our care. Our primary responsibilities are to ensure compliance with the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon's statement of policies and procedures for allegations of sexual abuse by priests and deacons.

Safe Environement Training Sessions

Mr. Christopher Pond, OCDS, Director of the Office of Child and Youth Protection conducts two safe environement sessions in January and August at St. Rafka Maronite Church (2301 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80214). Registration is required for all "Called To Protect" sessions in order to ensure adequate seating and a sufficient amount of session materials. To report incidents of sexual abuse

All incidents of sexual abuse of anyone under the age of 18 years of age, should be reported immediately to the civil authorities.

Further, if you wish to report an incident of sexual abuse involving a minor to the Eparchy of our Lady of Lebanon, please contact Fr. Peter Karam, Director of the Office of Child & Youth Protection at 216.781.6161.

In addition, allegations of sexual misconduct against a priest, deacon or seminarian should be directed to Chorbishop Richard Saad, Vicar for Clergy at 205.251.5057.
